Smaller niche fragrance brands seem to be the latest beauty commodity to be scooped up by global prestige players. At the end of 2014, The Estée Lauder Companies bought Le Labo and Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle in a string of new portfolio additions.

Puig has now announced that it is adding to its holdings in the high-end fragrance industry via Penhaligon’s and L’Artisan Parfumeur, which it has acquired from Fox Paine & Company, LLC. Penhaligon’s was established in 1870 and holds two Royal Warrants, a symbol of quality and excellence—and gorgeous packaging. L’Artisan Parfumeur works with its own craftsmen to create authentic perfumes.
